The Ultimate in Home Cinema & Maximum Audio Visual Experience

Looking for a world class home theater with the best speaker system in Malaysia?

We've got it!

HomeTheater.my is a design firm specializing in the design of residential theaters.  With the right planning, investing in a home theater can be one of the best enhancements to your lifestyle.  Home theaters are great for relaxing, entertaining, and bringing the whole family together.  We are part of a team of experienced audio engineers, architects and designers who have created hundreds of such theaters throughout the world, ranging from small intimate spaces to large environments that can accommodate the entertainment activities of even the most demanding host.  Like the great movie houses of the early 20th century, the theaters that we design lure the audience away from everyday life into a tantalizingly polished and detailed space.  Visual refinements in color, light, and texture, as well as spatial transitions, from entering the outer lobby to taking a seat in the auditorium, prepare the client almost ritualistically for the proper experience of the movie.  Regardless of their size, they all share a common trait -- the Theater Experience.

One important thing to remember in considering your many home theater options is that the sum of the parts is usually greater than the whole.

Media Room or Home Theater?

The first step is to plan your space.  Will you have a dedicated home theater room or will your system be in a multi-purpose media room?  Either way can be fantastic.  A dedicated home theater is designed specifically for entertainment: enjoying movies, sports, TV, and video gaming.  Basements, attics, bonus rooms, or spare rooms are great as dedicated home theater spaces.  A media room serves for more than entertaining.  A family room or bonus room usually doubles as a media room as well.

Speakers & Sound Systems

Second, and perhaps the most crucial part of an award winning home theater are the Speakers and Sound Systems.  We start there.  Our Audio Engineers in the USA have designed the ultimate custom speakers for the latest 7.1.4-channel Dolby Atmos surround sound with chest-rattling bass and the capability to produce pure audiophilequality music that would send chills down your spine.   Whether you're looking for a relaxing evening of soft music, or ready to rumble to the ultra realistic reproduction of a gattling gun scene in an action packed film, our speakers have you covered.

Screen Type, Size & Viewing Distance

The next steps are deciding the type of screens to use,  the location and size for your video display. Both the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) and THX Ltd. (a developer of quality standards founded by Lucasfilm) have recommendations on this subject. This step is very important to get right, and is probably the most difficult one to fix if you get it wrong.

Acoustics & Sound Proofing

It's important to have a great picture, but a movie without good sound is a terrible experience.  You must be able to clearly understand dialogue.  Great sound immerses you in a film's sound effects.  All things being equal, acoustic treatments (these can be carefully done, normal room furnishings) have a larger impact on the sound than almost any component.  Another thing to consider is soundproofing.  Will late night viewing disturb others?  Should you do something about it?  Oh, and Acoustics and Sound Proofing aren't he same thing.  Talk to us about it.

Choosing the Right Equipment

This is the fun part for most people.  Significant improvements in video technology can give you a great picture for a fraction of the cost only 10 years ago.  We personally recommend the Sony 4k range of projectors.  This allows more room in your budget for great sound.  Unlike video, audio pricing has held very steady in its cost to performance ratio.  Matching all your equipment up is where HomeTheater.my experts and our experience will be a big help.

The Home Theater Journey

In many cases, spending a few extra dollars on a great remote control, lighting control, or a popcorn machine can add wow to your creation.  We've got lots of suggestions and advice about how to create your own personal magic.

Other areas to consider are expert audio and video calibration; electrical and power needs; ventilation and HVAC planning; and integrating video gaming.  When your installation is complete, we will instruct you in the best ways to get the most fun from your new installation.

We hope you have lots of fun with your future home theater or media room!

This was my favorite Home Theater, ever!  Dear god did I like the speakers Ezer has installed.  Chills on many songs, even ones I didn’t really care to listen to ( F you madonna) the bass plucks on Hotel California just has a weight and meat to them that I loved. Vocals on “hey hey” and “Somewhere” just made me tingle. “Count of Tuscany” sounded sublime, both my buddy and I hated it when the song ended.  Jack Elliott and Boz Scaggs also amazing. On the few tracks that were live recordings I felt these has the most “live” feeling on those tracks. Really made you feel as if you were there

When I visited Ezer's Demo Cinema, he graciously played my demo tracks as well.  These are my impressions of the speakers he had set up.

Imaging was absolutely perfect. Every voice, every string pick, every echo, drum strike - all was point source perfect, rock solid and stable. The soundstage came very close to allowing a complete disappearing act for the speakers, especially since the speakers were hidden behind an acoustically transparent screen.  The soundstage was HUGE, wide open, completely natural.

On Reasons Why, Sarah's vocals were delicate, present, intimate. Mandolin and guitar string picks were pinpoint precise and so real I was looking for the instruments in the room.

On Ain't It A Shame, the sheen on Cindy's vocals was airy and clear. The vocal echo that hangs high in space to the right was completely surrounded by openness and hung there with density. The harmonica sounded like a harmonica. The bass and kick drum were tight and detailed.

The guitars and bass on Shallow had impact, the big ringing snare drum pounding on the chest. The effect was delicious.

Frequency response was impeccable. You could have run some kind of room correction software - take your pick - and it would have thrown up its hands and given up. There was nothing to correct. Highs were smooth, and I mean smooooooooooth, and extended. Lows were smooth, and I mean smooooooooooth, and extended. Get the picture? Clarity, definition, impact, power, focus, detail. they were all there and defied you to find the smallest fault.

I am sure glad I had a chance to audition Ezer's place and I told him, "Those might just be the perfect speakers you have here."

Walk into a room with low expectations and you will likely be pleasantly surprised by what you hear.

That was exactly what I experienced walking into the EzerMAX. Knowing that Ezer's home theater spots high-impact home theater speakers, I did not expect the imposing speakers to sound hi-fi grade. And, to my surprise, they were quite impressive as music speakers.

Overall these speakers did very well with mandolin, banjo, fiddle, synthesizers, guitars - all were delivered with admirable clarity and accuracy. The highs impressed me as being extended without any harshness.

The Speakers had a very quick responsiveness - the finger snaps on Chant were sharp. No doubt they could perform with impact when called upon. As nice as they sounded with fairly delicate music tracks, they would be killer in a home theater setting. My final note was that they were built like a Caterpillar and drove like a Mercedes - a bit of a stretch, but you get the idea.
